If your family eats 1-2 heads of kale each week, then you can plan your planting accordingly. Plant seed once a week and grow on two plants for harvest each week. If you want to harvest, cut and come again, you may be able to grow 1 plant for harvest every two weeks–allowing plants that have been partially harvested to grow on for another one or two cut-and-come again harvests. Once your succession crops begin coming to harvest, you will be able to modify your planting schedule according to household use.
